Is this place cash only? Or cards are accepted.?
It's very very very very very slow on making food for taking out
Love this restaurant. Been going to it since it opened. This food here is of a higher caliber in both execution and regional authenticity than most others in this area. The open square space is welcoming as well.Service is friendly and the quality of food is consistently excellent .
MoreReally excellent Chinese food. The tofu was particularly phenomenal; it was soft and super flavorful. The restaurant wasn't too crowded when we were there, so it was quite and the service was great. I don't know if that would change at a busy time. The restaurant is small so I imagine it could get a little hectic.
MoreI've been to some hard-to-reach parts of China. This is some of the best Sichuan food I've ever had anywhere. Period. Full stop! Very authentic.
MoreBad food, worst service. The waitress had an issue with every part of her job and acted like we were interrupting her business while dining there. We were a party of 7 and needed more than 4 bowls and 2 sheets of napkins. Each time we asked her for more than what already provided, after we had to interrupt her personal conversation with her friend, we were met with heavy sighs and eye rolls. The food, on the other hand, was only one step above the armpit of New York and is extremely overpriced for what you could get at Panda Express. There's a ramen joint next door. Save your time and money.
MoreI can't give this place a high enough rating. The menu is authentic and their food is exceptional. Everyone who works there is friendly. And their lunch special is a steal. I come here every other week and have run into other regulars on several occasions; that should be a testament to how good this place is.
MoreMy family only eats Chinese and we usually do so in queens. This establishment is.l closer to me so I tried it out with my family last weekend and it was solid. The food is flavorful and the service is fast. The decor is normal no-nonsense Chinese restaurant. Good neighborhood go to. It unfortunately can get loud if the middle tables are full, just the unfortunate result of the buildings acoustics.
MoreGreat lunch menu. Awesome!
Horrible lunch experience with this restaurant today. I ordered a lunch special with spicy tofu. I believed anyone could clearly see a stainless wire from some cleaning bush. It was really my luck I found it before eating anything. The staff were very rude and not a single word of apology received. " you can change another one" was all I got. So please do you best to check what might be with your food as visiting this restaurant.
MoreThis is a solid Chinese food restaurant with pretty authentic dishes that were quite good. The soup dumplings were good, albeit not that “soupy.” The honey walnut shrimp was made with pretty big prawns that were crispy on arrival to the table with a great sauce. Most of the guests had sesame chicken that everyone enjoyed. They accommodated a big group on a last minute reservation. The alcohol was affordable and they even served us sake bombs! Would come back if in the area again.
MoreSolid chinese, with excellent soup dumplings
Definitely authentic but pricey.
My wife and i stumbled upon this restaurant randomly and loved it! Best random dinner. Will definitely return!
MoreExceptional! Authentic, old world experience. I go from Jersey to NYC for the best Kung Pao and Orange Chicken. Nice employees too.
MoreHas lost its touch. This place stood out for flavorful food at reasonable prices. Even their veggies were good. Unfortunately over the last few months on multiple occasions they have either gone cheap on ingredients or have lost the chef — the food now tastes like cardboard and salt.
MoreDelicious food, authentic cuisine, very clean.
Nice decor, but quite overpriced. $17 for bland and soggy sesame chicken. Maybe other items are better, but this was just laughable
Morenice people, good food and not pricy
Worst delivery of my life. Frozen green beans and zero pork. Sesame chicken was soggy. Sauce for my dumplings was pure vinegar from a packet. Sprint rolls were soggy. Ordered through seamless. When I called location, she hung up on me three times. Then they refused to give refund. Wanted to walk down to location and scream at someone. THE WORST FOOD EVER.
MoreWent here with family. Hoping to have some tasty food but sadly disappointed. Hot n sour soup was cold. After asking for it to be warmed up, it was returned back, only slightly warmer. Duck pancakes were dry and tasteless. The General Tso chicken was also mediocre, with little flavour and absolutely no sauce. Service was also unfriendly and poor. Place is also overpriced. Go elsewhere.
MoreAtmosphere was good. Staff was friendly and nice. The food was ok.
Really great, pretty good prices too.
I love visiting this place when I can - their lunch prices are perfect but be prepared for higher markups on dinner. Really good food - the Americanized stuff is recognizable and makes it easy to bring a mix of friends with varied food preferences.
MoreI take my family to this great spot quite a bit! This is my favorite spot to pass a nice evening. I go there routinely. The food is just great, the team is professional and the prices are good. I like meeting in this restaurant to have a tasty supper.
MoreWe only had dumplings and they tasted great! Four rounds of the fried and soup ones. Especially the soup ones were delicious. Prices were also fair. Had a great time, will come back.
MoreAuthenticity.. spectacular dishes. Some more spicy.. hot.. thank even I eat.. All Delicious.
MoreThe food here has a simple response... DELICIOUS!! And you can't beat the Lunch Menu either great Pricing! Like the ambience of the small place as well. A Definite must!!
MoreWhat a wonderful wonderful restaurant. We ordered general Tao's chicken we ordered sweet and sour chicken we also ordered chicken lo mein. My favorite was the general tso. Order from your favorite delivery app and go crazy just eat as much as you possibly can. My mom always said to say the calories for delicious food
MoreGot a takeout order. While the food isn't...bad, per se, it was bland and flavorless. A dish I've ordered everywhere else that was labeled even on Shu Han Ju's menu as 'hot and spicy' was anything but. It tasted .... of nothing. The texture was soft and mushy, unlike it's meant to be. Even the spring roll tasted like nothing. Ultimately a waste of my money, as I threw the whole thing out. I hate to leave an unflattering review when I know a lot of Chinese food spots are having a hard time right now - but especially at a time like this when I genuinely miss the food style, I wish the few still open would serve food to a standard that I expect.
MoreFresh and great for old favorites including orange chicken etc. done up better than in my old places which mostly closed over the years. Lots of more exotic and very spicy dishes to tryvalso.
MoreMisleading - uneatable food.I live a few blocks from the restaurant being surrounded by Asian restaurants. This was the first time i purchased food from this restaurant. My order consisted of the following:A9. Steamed Pork Dumpling $7.95E11. Lamb with Cumin Sauce $19.95....The 6 dumplings were tasteless and the sauce was thin and salty. The Lamb and Cumin Sauce - HAD NO SAUCE and was misrepresented.3/4 of the entire dish was composed of onions with one piece of scallion. There were mostly pieces of lamb with a few slices. The lamb was thin, dried with cumin. The dish included a lot of chili pepper and hot dumpling oil (surprise). Not edible, so I tossed out the food, and it had nothing to do with spicy or hot. No flavor, no sauce not real taste if one if familiar with Asian cuisine. Cheap basic white rice. Over all the food was not very good at any price and I order through Seamless.
MoreFood was great and the atmosphere was somewhat intimate. It seems as if the place used to be takeout restaurant.
MoreThis place was a Happy surprise find! Definitely will be back to sample some of the more authentic dishes.Menus have pictures of food before your order...YES, THANK YOU!
MoreExtraordinarily great food. This restaurant is worth a trip from anywhere. The menu is vast and unusual. Even its more "standard" offerings are exceptionally prepared. The service is lovely, as well. The on-line menu is limited. I recommend an in-person visit. Don't be afraid of dishes marked "spicy" -- but do let your server know if you wish your food to be only moderately spicy. The restaurant WILL accommodate you. (I do this, as the "spicy" offerings are quite spicy.) It is a treat to have an excellent Chinese restaurant in the West Village!
MoreGreat food, with quite comfortable cozy dinning room, I like it, do not miss this place. Real Chinese food.
MoreThis spot obviously knows how to serve their clients. Constantly with a very friendly attitude. The food is conveniently priced, constantly tasty and clean.
MoreDan dan noodles!! I don’t like greasy food and this is one place I can get non-chili oil drenched dan dan (cough Very Fresh cough).Favorites: Their double cooked pork is great. Snow pea shoots yum. Fish dishes are great, I just ask for less oil in everything. Sizzling rice cake very sweet the first time we ordered, so going to ask for no sweet lychee syrup next time. Flavors are real and prices super reasonable. We come here every other week for our Szechuan/Chinese fix.
MoreThe shrimp did not smell ok. We tasted a couple of shrimps (perhaps 4 in total in a huge plate of shrimps) and sent it back. And they charged us for it because they said we have eaten it whereas we just “tasted” it. Plus we got a horrible attitude!
MoreNice and friendly staff but a bit overpriced but some regular chinese food.
Excellent Chinese. Fair price. Clean.
Nice local Chinese serving tasty food at good prices. I like the hot pots!
This restaurant is really nice not your usual Chinese restaurant. Prices are also reasonable.
MoreWorse veg fried rice i had and no much different the rest of the food no bueno
small pieces of plastic in my food. So much salt I can't taste anything but salt and plastic. Wouldn't recommend. sorry
MorePassed by cos it looked like a scene off of where Carie and Big would eat. Ordered the scallion pancakes (it was good, more flaky/crispy than heavy) and the twice cooked pork (just the right amount of spice and flavor). But what would bring me back here is the service was really quick but unimposing—allowing diners to feel unhurried and pressured to be ordering more dishes to get a seat. Plus, it feels clean compared to other restos in Chinatown. We spent roughly $20++ for dinner for 3 and still had a take home bag.
MoreI did not like this place at all. Food was terrible and stuff not that nice. Will never go there again.
MoreExcellent service....food was well prepared and the presentation was top notch. As a bonus they keep a very clean bathroom.
More**Highly NOT Recommend**I live in the neighborhood and wanted to give it a try on this new Chinese restaurant and I'm glad i did because I will NEVER go back!. I Had a dry pot and a lunch special and turned out a very disappointment. Soggy ingredients and NOT fresh at all. Over priced. If you're looking for a quick Chinese food for lunch just avoid this place and go to fast food chains. You're very welcome.
MoreHighly Poor service. They even demanded a tip without giving us a chance to pull it out! Never coming back
